Friendly, attentive service, no waiting when I went on Saturday and oil change for Honda HR-V done within 20 minutes.

The workers are very nice. However they told me they couldn’t change my oil because they don’t have tool to take off the drain plug and it was stripped. I am surprised that as an auto service station they don’t have the tool for a stripped drain plug. I know my drain plug was fairly new and when I changed my oil last time, I only tightened it with my hand and wrench. It should not be a bad drain plug. Again the technician were very friendly and nice but the company should have provided them better tools to handle tight drain plug. ———————————— Update: Went to another mechanic shop to have a look. I know my drain plug was intact and not stripped before I came here because I moved from east coast and I did a mechanic check before the long drive. This is what they did to the plug when they couldn’t take the drain plug off, and ended up not wanting to be responsible and simply told me to go somewhere else. The pictures are taken the next day I went there, note that the there’s rust on the other parts of the bolt but there’s none on the stripped part, which suggests that the damage was done at jiffylube. Someone from jiffylube please reach out to me and help me resolve this matter. —————— Update: Went back again to solve this issue. They apologized and purchased the right tool to have it fixed. Did not try to play any games with me. After all they were decent enough.

I have gone to this Jiffy Lube on Cedar in Newark, for years, and it is consistent excellence. Fast, very friendly, fair, and thorough. Very happy with the service, I recommend them every chance I get.

I did an oil change, which should include a change of oil filter by default. But they charged me $12 extra for it.
