? 1/5 I came to this Jiffy Lube on Academy at approximately 7:30 a.m. for an oil change and did not leave until around 9:30 a.m. The employees were friendly and courteous, which I appreciated, but unfortunately that was the only positive part of my experience. I ended up paying **$240.85 after a military discount** for a full-synthetic oil change, filter, and a fuel-cleaner service. I was shocked when I saw the final cost. I normally take my vehicle to Walmart, where I have paid around $60 for a full-synthetic oil change that also includes the filter. I understand that prices vary between businesses and that additional services increase the total, but more than $240 for what I received felt excessive. The two-hour wait was equally frustrating. Part of the delay was apparently because the correct filter was not delivered initially. I understand that mistakes and supply issues happen, but as the customer, I still spent roughly two hours waiting for a routine service. I am active-duty military and don't have hundreds of dollars of expendable income to spend on routine vehicle maintenance. Even with the military discount, I walked away feeling that the price was nowhere near the value of the service I received. The staff was friendly, and I have no complaint about how I was personally treated. My complaint is specifically about the **price, the length of the service, and the overall value**. Based on this experience, I would not return. I strongly recommend asking for a complete, itemized price for every service before authorizing any work so you know exactly what the final bill will be.
