Service Center Teams from Eugene, OR, Aiken, SC and Montgomeryville, PA
Compete in Miami for $10,000 Grand Prize

HOUSTON, TX - February 5, 2013 - The best of the best -- that is what Jiffy Lube is looking for in its J-Team All Stars competition and the Company is proud to announce that the list of finalists has been narrowed down from 1,500 Jiffy Lube service centers across the United States to three. After months filled with long hours, training sessions and hard work, Jiffy Lube service center teams in Eugene, OR, Aiken, SC and Montgomeryville, PA agree that it was worth it.

"The J-Team All Stars competition highlights the commitment and dedication that Jiffy Lube franchisees and service center employees place on training," said Stu Crum, president of Jiffy Lube International. "We take great pride in the training programs we offer, including the nationally-recognized Jiffy Lube University program. This year's finalists demonstrate how intense training can go a long way in terms of providing an exceptional customer experience."

Now in its fourth year, the J-Team All Stars competition encourages teamwork, technical knowledge, operational execution and delivery of an outstanding customer experience on all levels. Teams, also called J-Teams, are judged on these traits, as well as on their ability to greet and escort customers and perform a Jiffy Lube Signature Service® Oil Change -- a preventive maintenance service that involves changing, inspecting, checking/filling and cleaning essential vehicle components. The competition culminates on March 5 when the three teams battle it out in Miami for the title of J-Team All Stars Champion, bragging rights and a $10,000 grand prize.

Eugene, OR-based "West 7th Savages" of service center #1407 snagged the Western Regional Championship title by maintaining positive attitudes and fostering genuine respect for one another. "This team's attention to detail is impressive and their hard work has carried them this far this year," said Bob Babcock, co-owner of Patience LLC Group, the Jiffy Lube franchise that owns and operates the location the team calls home. Team members include: Vernon Rice, lower bay technician; Jeff Bankus, team leader; Logan Garber, courtesy technician; Tarah Townsell, upper bay technician; Krystal (Cuellar) Roloff, customer service advisor; and Kara Beachem, team coach.

The "Aiken Thrashers" of service center #1276 in Aiken, SC earned their title of Eastern Division Champions due to their consistent hard work and dedication. "The team's dedication to this competition and to our customers is inspiring," said Joel LaMothe of AFML Group, the Jiffy Lube franchisee that owns and operates the service center that the team calls home. Team members include: Anthony Rolling, team leader; Donnie Powell, courtesy technician; Matt Howell, customer service advisor; Mike Garnett, lower bay technician; and Chuck Noe, upper bay technician

The "J-Squad" from service center #946 in Montgomeryville, PA emerged from this year's newly-created Wild Card Round, where ten teams duked it out for a third spot at the Grand Finals event. "The team dedicated countless hours to training to earn their second chance to attend the Grand Finals," said Mike Jackson, district manager for Mid-Atlantic Lubes, the Jiffy Lube franchise that owns and operates store #946. Team members include: Hao Huynh, customer service advisor; Mike Klaski, upper bay technician; Caleb Godshell, lower bay technician; Sam Ortega, courtesy technician; and Curtis Coates, team leader.

The Grand Finale

At the Grand Finals event held in Miami, FL, the J-Teams will be judged by Jiffy Lube International District Managers on their teamwork, operational execution and customer experience skills as well as how quickly they perform a Jiffy Lube Signature Service® Oil Change. In addition to the winners' $10,000 team grand prize and the title of Jiffy Lube J-Team All Stars Champion, the runner-ups will receive a $5,000 team prize and a $2,500 team prize, respectively.

Dedication to Training

Jiffy Lube service center employees are required to participate in the Jiffy Lube University training program, which has been recognized as an award-winning curriculum by the American Council on Education (ACE) and American Society for Training & Development (ASTD). The program aims to develop service center employee skills and the J-Team All Stars Championship challenges employees even further.
