Outstanding Jiffy Lube Franchisees Honored at 26th Annual Convention

HOUSTON, March 25, 2005 - Hundreds of Jiffy Lube franchisees, executives and field personnel converged on San Francisco recently for the 26th annual Jiffy Lube International Franchisee Convention. The five-day conference included an evening honoring outstanding franchisee achievements across the company's network of more than 2,200 service centers in North America.

"Jiffy Lube strives to meet the high performance standards our customers deserve. These honorees are stellar examples of people who make this happen," said Larry Burch, president of Jiffy Lube International.

Bob Falter and Dick Tracy of Multi-Management, Inc. in Bel Air, Md. were named Eastern Division Franchisees of the Year, while Jim Jafari and John Zarrabi, of JJJZ, Inc. in Santa Ana, Calif. captured Western Division Franchisee of the Year honors. These individuals were recognized for their innovations and leadership in training, employee relations, customer service and community service.

Shawn Fallova, manager of Hoffman Development Corporation's service center in Wilton, N.Y., received the President's Store Manager Recognition Award for outstanding achievement in training, operations, customer service, and day-to-day business.

Peter Walsh of QLO Management, Inc. in Waterloo, Ontario was awarded the Harold Burney Memorial Award in recognition of his dedication to the company, customers and fellow franchisees.

The Arlene Karlson Heart and Soul Award for exemplary community service went to Keith Mortensen and Richard Jones of Lubricar, Inc. in Albuquerque, N.M.

Allan Engelmeyer, president of the Jiffy Lube Association of Franchisees (JLAF), presented Jiffy Lube District Manager of the Year Awards to Eastern Division winner Robert (Bob) Houck and Western Division winner Michael Jones.

Nearly 200 other separate awards were presented in categories such as Customer Satisfaction, Millionaires Club, $2 Million Club, Car Count Increases, Sales Counts, Facilities, Operations, People and Total Vehicles Serviced.

With the exception of the JLAF Awards, the convention awards were presented by Jiffy Lube International President Larry Burch and General Manager of North America Operations Kevin Lyng, along with Eastern and Western Division Operations Managers Lenny Lazarofsky and Robb Harling.
